ABOUT WICOMICO PRESBYTERIAN
As one of the first Presbyterian churches established in the Americas, we look back with thanksgiving and praise for the grace of God which guided us through centuries of ministry. At the same time we look forward with enthusiasm and trust that the Lord continues to lead us in and equip us for faithful service to Jesus Christ and to our local and global community.
Wicomico Presbyterian Church offers a caring community of love and support to all who enter. Our program offerings include dynamic Sunday morning worship, an excellent music ministry, church school for all ages, Tuesday noon Brown Bag Bible Study, Wednesdays Alive! evening fellowship and an active women's association. Our mission involvement supports those in need locally as well as far beyond our neighborhood.

I'm New
Whoever you are… whatever your story…
and wherever you are with God,
You are welcome at Wicomico Presbyterian Church
What should I wear?
Our service is traditional but not uptight. Dress is casual and runs the gamut from suits and ties to golf shirts and jeans. Women wear everything from comfortable dresses to casual slacks. Our pastor and choir wear robes.
Where do I park?
Free parking is at the back of the church which you can find by turning on to East Chestnut Street from N. Division Street. Our parking lot is about half-way down on the right. See Map below. There is also parking available on Broad Street.
Where do I enter the Church?
The primary entrance is from the rear parking lot through the double doors. A greeter is there to direct you to the sanctuary or to the refreshment area. There are several handicap parking spaces near the door and inside, there is a ramp for access into the Sanctuary. You can also enter the Sanctuary directly through the front double doors on Broad Street. Fresh, brewed coffee is served along with donuts, etc., in the Fellowship room. Our doors are locked from the outside about 10 minutes after the service begins.
Children are welcome!
We value the next generation 🙂 . A nursery is provided for very young children and is located within a few steps of the back entrance. Safety and security are important to us. You will meet the children’s teacher when you take them into the classroom. The back entrance outside doors are locked shortly after the service starts for the protection and safety of all. The children will be escorted into the Sanctuary for a short children's lesson at the beginning of the adult service.
Worship Service
Our worship service is approximately one hour long. After announcements we continue with hymns, scripture readings and responses, a choir anthem and sermon. Following the sermon, an offering is received. Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.
Music
Traditional hymns and organ are often blended with ethnic and newer Christian songs. The Chancel Choir offers a choral anthem weekly. Special music and hand bells are incorporated on special Sundays.
Thanks for checking us out. We Look Forward to Meeting You!
